Bolton's ambulances are dangerous because crews don't have time to carry out safety checks, paramedic claims
Take away there televisions and internet access and I am sure that would free up enough time to do regular vehicle checks'and who knows possibly even enough time too remove the newspapers'coffee cups and apple cores from the vehicle cabs.......The operational staff have protected time to check their vehicles during a RED check, during this time they CANNOT be used for any emergency regardless!. This ambulance was subject to a defect whilst travelling and it wouldnt have been possible to find it during any check. It is not the fault of the service or the crew members - it is something that could have happened at any time to anyone. The crew should be praised for their skills in bringing the 3.5ton vehicle safely to a halt. The elderly couple have obviously been cohersed into legal action - welcome to the suing culture!

hahah, what an absolute drama queen. The car has bumped into the window and shattered it a bit. It's hardly come "crashing in".

Pensioners' terror as wheel falls off ambulance during 999 hospital dash
Unfortunately the sad truth is that organisations don't do much about correcting problems unless they are hit hard in the pocket or somebody dies.
Nobody died so would there be a full investigation? No, unless they are hit hard in the pocket. I wonder who told the press? The organisation at fault or the victim?
Why are these people who are "taking legal action" being classed as scum? Read their comments!
“I’m just angry because I don’t how this could have happened and my mum ended up in A&E on Friday night along with my dad. I just want to make sure this never happens again.
“It’s a heavy vehicle and the wheel just fell off. Whoever is responsible for this needs to be put to task. It just feels like they have tried to play it down and that’s not good enough.”
So you think someone trying to stop whatever is causing accidents are scum but the culprits should get off scot free? Get your priorities right!

Seven-year-old girl left with serious burns after nightdress catches fire

Whatever happened to fireguards. Yes, gas fires have a bit of a grill in front of the elements but that's nowhere near useful in preventing this kind of thing. And, may one ask, where were the parents at the time. I know this sounds harsh but they are the ones who should have either told the child to stay away from the fire, not bought inferior quality nightwear, or bought a fireguard as soon as they had children!Get real, I suppose you have never had an accident in your whole life??? and if you did why didn't your parents stop it from happening ???
Sadly this one involved a young girl standing near a gas fire (fire guards are used for babies not 7yr olds)

University of Bolton students' union bans controversial Robin Thicke song Blurred Lines
I'm always sceptical when people say censorship is the answer.
Students at university are surely mature enough to be able to enjoy a song without changing their behaviour.

Batman & Robin get a raw deal having to solve the other 60% of crimes then. The 40% that are investigated are the seatbelt, speeding, vehicle exise duty, bald tyre scenarios that are just a written PCN to extract money from the folk who consent tp the preventative legal system in operation today! PCN = licence to print money for the bankers!
