PHIL Brown is back in for Abdoulaye Meite with a move that could end the Ivory Coast defender’s Reebok nightmare.
The Hull City boss complained earlier this month that Wanderers were asking too much for the unsettled centre-back, but he has not given up hope of adding him to his Premiership-bound squad.
Negotiations are ongoing between the respective chairmen – Wanderers chief Phil Gartside and Hull’s Paul Duffen – but Brown, the former Bolton favourite, accepts that his old club hold all the aces.
“It’s chairman to chairman and we are still talking,” he said. “It’s interesting as we go along, either Bolton will have to play ball or they won’t play ball.”
Reports in France suggest Wanderers could be back on the trail of Marseille’s former Liverpool striker, Djibril Cisse, who is being tipped for a return to the Premiership.

It used to be great getting all the news instead of having to wait two weeks for our friends to air mail the cuttings to us in Canada.
