O'Brien back for Whites at Spurs

JOEY O'Brien returned to midfield as Wanderers looked for a third successive Premiership win at Spurs.

The Republic of Ireland international, sidelined with a hamstring injury since the 4-0 defeat at Aston Villa three weeks ago, replaced Tamir Cohen in the only change to the side that won 1-0 at Middlesbrough on the day Gary Megson's Whites climbed out of the bottom three.

Poland international, Grzegorz Rasiak, again led the attack in the absence of the suspended Kevin Davies, which meant El-Hadji Diouf once again had to settle for a place on the subs' bench.

Jonathan Woodgate returned for League Cup winners Spurs, who again had the free-scoring duo of Robbie Keane and Dmitar Berbatov up front.

Wanderers: Al-Habsi; Steinsson, Cahill, Andy O'Brien, Samuel; Campo; Joey O'Brien, Nolan, McCann, Taylor; Rasiak. Subs: Stelios, Fojut, Guthrie, Diouf, Walker.

Spurs: Cerny; Hutton, Dawson, Woodgate, Zokora, Lennon, Jenas, Gilberto, Malbranque, Berbatov, Keane. Subs: Tainio, Huddleston, Bent, O'Hara, Robinson, Referee: Mark Clattenburg (Tyne & Wear).

come on now, you know the score with Ginger; he`s not sure what happens when we get to far forward on the pitch; thats why we play so many defensive midfielders; Braaten has been scoring in the reserves but doesn`t get a look in, Rasiak is c**p all round and either is on the bench or is starting ?? why ??; where is Helgusson, Stelios, Vaz Te, Smith etc etc.
