KEVIN Nolan insisted last night that there is a collective determination at the Reebok to prove their doubters wrong.

Wanderers have been riled by the critics, who claim they would bid them "good riddance" if they were relegated from the Premier League.

That, Nolan says, has inspired them in their battle for survival.

"I quite like the fact that everyone would like us to go down, because it means we can stick two fingers up to them at the end of the season when we do stay up," he said.

Nolan reckons Wanderers have no need to apologise to anyone for getting "back to basics" as they battle to stay in the top flight.

I hope, as much as anybody else, that we stay up, but you can't get away from the fact - we've got some major problems. We've been very, very lucky to get any points from the last three matches, especially the last two where the results should have been similar to last season. The team lacks confidence and looks very unorgansied, plus we don't have any firepower up front. The players HAVE got the ability to achieve better, but it needs someone to sort out the problems.

yeah the core of the team is basically the same as the one which finished in europe last season. with that personnel we should have been nowhere near relegation places this season, but it all stems from the manager. the bolton players are embarrassing to watch at times, they look less skillful than my sunday league side, yet realistically this cant be the case, and they must be being told to play this way

a good manager would have had us anywhere in that group from 9th to 14th this season. the club needs a major overhaul, not just in terms of personnel, but philosophy. a philosophy to try and win games would be a start, rather than going out to draw

WE WILL STAY UP!
I don't agree that we have been very lucky to stay up it has been down to the hard work of the lads. Okay there has been some resolute defending that does not matter when we are getting the points.
Al-Habsi in dream team of the week, Stelios there when we needed him again.
Yes there are problems but they can be sorted out at the end of the season when this pressure is off. For now all we need is to be there on Saturday to cheer on the lads and be that 12th man. A few weeks ago we would have given anything to be in this position!!
COME ON YOU WHITES!
