Nolan key to survival success

GARY Megson believes Kevin Nolan could be Wanderers' talisman as they battle for Premiership survival.

The Bolton boss says his captain has been a major influence in the last three games that have given his side a fighting chance of avoiding relegation.

Nolan was missing when Wanderers slumped to successive defeats to Arsenal and Aston Villa, but he has returned to play inspirational roles in the victories over West Ham and Middlesbrough and in the draw at Spurs last week.

"Kevin has a big influence in the dressing room, on the pitch and as a person, as a captain and leader," Megson said ahead of Saturday's crunch clash with Sunderland at the Reebok.

Still our team captain and although he has not had a good season it would be great for Gary Megson and all Bolton fans if Kevin concluded our last home game of the season with a winning performance, the lad has it in him so good luck to him and all who support Bolton Wanderers.

He'll do just fine after a good Chinese meal and several bottles of pop tonight...was he also a talisman at our legendary loss against ten man Wigan? A win at that game would have pretty much secured safety with only a draw tomorrow. Instead, we could stil go down with a win tomorrow.

finally after so many weeks of bulls*it megson finally talks some sense but if its taken him this long to notice that nolan has a big impression on our performances how much longer is it going to take before he notices that you have to attack to score goals?
