WANDERERS old boy Radhi Jaidi said he would be happy to see his old club relegated - if it meant Birmingham staying up.
The defender had a two-year spell at the Reebok before moving to St Andrews in August 2006.
But the Tunisian international would have no qualms about seeing his former employers playing in the Championship next season.

"It really doesn't concern me at the present time as most of the people who were with me at Bolton have since left the club," said the 32-year-old, ahead of the Blues' crucial clash at relegation rivals Fulham.
"At the moment I do not have any feelings about what will happen to Bolton. All I am concerned with is that Birmingham remain in the Premiership. Life is like that. You have to fight for yourself."
Jaidi admitted the stakes could not be higher as he prepares to "go to war" in today's game.
Birmingham could be relegated if they lose and Bolton and Reading win and he said: "I think this is the most important game in which I have been involved since I came to England four years ago.
"Against Fulham we have no choice. We will go to war and I think the game will be decided in the head rather than on the pitch."
Birmingham have a dismal away record as they have one just once on the road since Alex McLeish was appointed - his first game in charge against Tottenham in December.

If the B(E)N hadn`t pointed this out to me, I would never have known it, Jaidi wants his current club, Brum to stay up in preference to the whites, all cutting edge stuff. I notice that BBC, and Sky have been giving long stories to clubs in the relegation battle, interviews with Managers etc. Not one word from our glorius leader, or a mention of the whites. Surprising how some people fall, Trevor Francis (commenting on Brum) looks like he has a bus drivers job, sporting a T Shirt with National Express on the collar. (not that I have much against bus drivers !)

No wonder people in the public eye get angry at journalists, who continue to quote them out of context. Another mendacious headline from BN.
Radhi Jaidi was an excellent acquisition for Wanderers. And like Bruno N'Gotty, Jaidi had another season in him when he left Bolton.
Sam Allardyce was always concerned about their legs going - a bi-product of a low budget. But I suppose on balance, Allardyce was more right than wrong.

How shocking!! Why would anyone want their former club to go down, if it meant their club staying up. Oh my God the sensationalism of it all, well done BN! another hard hitting piece of journalism at this crucial stage of the season. What next? mugson and gartside skip off into the sunset holding hands!

To be fair to Gordon, these quotes appeared on Setanta last night. As for the comments themselves of course he is going to want his current employers to stay up, there's no sentiment in business.

[/quote] Disagree with this one. Jaidi and his agent caused problem after problem and left the club little option but to sell him. He was continually in the papers bemoaning his wages and forced his way out to earn more. He did score some important goals and was a reasonable player for us, But he was driven by money and had zero loyalty for the club. I for one would love to see him plying his trade in the Chumpionship next year.
