AFTER all the recent publicity regarding health and safety, I would like to know why football stadiums and theatres are not required to have handrails to aid people to get uo and down stairs. IN response to Mr Derbyshire’s recent letter about obese children and his attack on parents, which I found slightly offensive.

FOUR of the ten constituent parts of Greater Manchester have announced the council tax rates.
