THANK you so much to the young woman driving the big silver Vauxhall up our back lane at 9pm last Tuesday evening.

The day had been a scorcher after the weekend floods and a 60 year old man walking his dog, hot and exhausted after a long, hard day, was looking forward to a nice shower before bed.

The woman must have noticed just how hot he was (no pun intended) and was kind enough to drive into a deep pothole that soaked him from chest to toe in cool, filthy water.

The lane is a “no-through-road” and as she did her three point-turn she looked straight at the man who was no longer “hot”, merely “drip dead gorgeous” (pun intended) pointing to his wet clothes awaiting an apology. The woman just shrugged her shoulders and drove right past him. How sweet.
