JOHN BARBER We are sad to announce the devastating news that our Dad, John Barber has died in Thailand at the age of 76. He was a much loved and loving Husband to Nisa, an adored and adoring Dad of Carole and Gail, a devoted Grandad to Jacqueline, Matthew and Taylor and a brilliant Great Grandad to Louisa. He was an amazing Father in Law and friend to Paul and was a much loved brother and uncle. He was a friend to many, many people in Thailand and England and will be missed for ever. He was Simply the Best. RIP Dad

Gutted to hear this - worked with him at the Gas Board. Supped plenty at the Mop and City, with a curry after. The funniest bloke I've ever known. Sleep well Bone. Condolences to Carole & Gail.

So sorry to hear of the loss of a dear friend & colleague, many fond memories & good times at Spa Rd with JB, fellow shop steward, we won some memorable battles, then celebrated in the Mop (pub) a true character who won the friendship of a lot of people RIP JB 💔💔

Very sad loss of a good friend from the days of British Gas service at Bolton (formerly North Western Gas Board) Great times were had and John had many friends and colleagues their. A larger than life character who will be missed by many i am sure.
