DR ARTHUR JOHN JONES Dr Arthur John Jones born in Rochford, Essex, 22nd September 1946, died in Royal Bolton Hospital on January 3rd 2021. Ellen, Tim, Lizzie and their partners, with wife Hilary and grandsons James and Luke, all mourn his passing but rejoice that he is safe in Glory with Jesus his Saviour. Arthur's funeral celebration is on January 21st at 1pm so Bridge church BL2 1JX followed by internment (burial) at St Michael's Great Lever at 2.30pm. YouTube link at bridgebolton.com Here is a short comment from Dr Sylvia Baker of Christian Schools Trust:- 'I first came across Arthur's work regarding creation and evolution in the late 1960's and it changed my thinking immediately. His brilliant mind presented the issue at a profoundly philosophical and yet accessible level. Arthur's contribution to the creation/evolution debate has been second to none. His powerfully analytical thinking and writing, coupled with his godly, gracious demeanour has been enormously influential. He will be greatly missed.'
