Was a pupil at Stand Grammar School 74-79. Was a very frightening dark place for an underachiever from Radcliffe. When Gordon came to the school he was one of the first to treat us like young men. Moved from Radcliffe to Bromley Cross in 1978 and Gordon found out and told me he lived in Bradshaw. He gave me many lifts home. So kind. Bumped into him many times in Bury when he worked at Bury college. Great teacher but an even better human being. My deepest condolences to your family. They must be rightly proud of you. Rest in peace Sir.
