MALCOLM OLDFIELD Suddenly but peacefully at home on the 8th of July 2021 aged 60 years. Beloved husband of Karen and a cherished Dad of Christopher and Katherine. Funeral service to take place on Monday 26th July at St George with St James Church at 1:45pm followed by a committal at Overdale West Chapel at 3pm. Wake to be held at Old Links Golf Club. BL1 5SU. Family flowers only by request, donations can be made in memory of Malcolm to Bolton South with Farnworth Scout District. All enquiries to Farnworth Funeralcare, 01204 573280.

I’m so sorry to just hear that Malcolm is no longer with you. I didn’t know him for years, but I felt as though I’d known him a lifetime. We talked about Katherine, the impending wedding (as was then) gardening, his good work with camp and the kids, Chris and obviously you Karen. He was a fabulous big hearted family man and I thought the absolute world of him!!! I know I shouldn’t say but we met on fag breaks at 3KP and I’ve never met anyone so genuinely good inside and out! I can’t believe he’s not there for you and your family. I sincerely hope that you cherish your wonderful husband and great dad to the children forevermore… he was worth it xxxxx
