ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (SHEEPFOOT LANE, PRESTWICH)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from waiting at any time in the following lengths of streets :-Sheepfoot Lane, Prestwich - south easterly side from the easterly kerbline of Beechwood Road to a point IS metres west of the westerly kerbline of Edgeware Avenue and from a point 15 metres east of the easterly kerbline of Edgeware Avenue to the westerly kerbline of Middleton Road

that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from waiting at any time in the following lengths of streets :-Sheepfoot Lane, Prestwich - south easterly side from the easterly kerbline of Beechwood Road to a point IS metres west of the westerly kerbline of Edgeware Avenue and from a point 15 metres east of the easterly kerbline of Edgeware Avenue to the westerly kerbline of Middleton Road

Beechwood Road, Prestwich - both sides from the southerly kerbline of Sheepfoot Lane for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction

Park Road, Prestwich - both sides from the southerly kerbline of Sheepfoot Lane for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction

Meade Hill Road, Prestwich - easterly side from a point 15 metres south of the southerly kerbline of Sheepfoot Lane to a point 15 metres north of the northerly kerbline of Watkins Drive

The reason for the proposed order is that the lengths of streets will be thronged and liable to be obstructed on the occasion of the Lightopia event at Heaton Park. Nothing in this notice will apply to emergency vehicles, any vehicle displaying a valid residents parking permit issued by Heaton Park Management of Manchester City Council on behalf of the Council for the Lightopia event at Heaton Park and any vehicle engaged in the implementation, removal or enforcement of the restrictions introduced pursuant to this notice.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Friday 13 December 2019 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 1 month, although the closing date of the event is 31 December 2019. 12 December 2019
