NOTICE OF INTENDED DISPOSAL OF AREA OF OPEN SPACE
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Bolton ("the Council") intends to dispose of its interest in land that includes an area of open space at the following location:
Land adjacent to Woodland Close, Bolton
A plan showing the area to be included in the disposal can be inspected during regular opening hours at the One Stop Shop, the Town Hall, Bolton BL1 1RU. A copy of this Notice and the above mentioned plan is available at:
Any objections to the intended disposal must be made in writing and addressed to Helen Gorman, Borough Solicitor, Bolton Council, Legal Services Town Hall, Bolton BL1 1RU, or by e-mail to legal.
bearing the reference LS/ASH/079111 by no later than Friday 28th February 2020. All objections received will then be considered by the Council.
NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 / WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 385 BOLTON (PART)) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2020
On the 10th February 2020, the Borough Council of Bolton confirmed the above Order, made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 ("the 1980 Act") and under section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert:
Public Footpath No. Bolton 385 situated to the south of 30 Lambton Street, Bolton, BL3 3LG commencing from point A at grid reference SD370165 406832 in a generally south by westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD370150 406743 for a distance of approximately 90 metres as shown by the continuous bold black line between points A-B on the Order Plan of a width of 1.5 metres throughout over a natural surface.
The new line will commence from point C at grid reference SD370196 406760 in a generally west-south westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD370150 406743 as shown by the bold black broken line between points C-B on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 49 metres. The width between points C-B will be 1.5 metres throughout over natural surface.
The definitive map and statement shall be modified accordingly.
A copy of the confirmed Order and plan may be inspected free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Bolton Council, Town Hall, Bolton during office hours. Copies of the Order and Plan may be purchased.
The Order will come into force on the date the Order is certified as complied with by the Council but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or a provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highway Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act as amended, or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 14th February 2020 make an application to the High Court (LS/ SMW/078247)
