NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services - Places Directorate of the Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers and delegated to him by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Footpath Leigh No. 85, 86 & 88) (Temporary Closure] Order 2020.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person, for a period of 6 months, commencing on 7th August 2020, except upon the permission of a police constable, from using footpaths:
? Leigh No. 85 from Point A as shown on the Order Map at its junction with Green Lane at grid reference 367675 401142 in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 70 metres to Point B at grid reference 367691 401074 as shown on the Order Map.

? Leigh No. 86 from Point B as shown on the Order Map at its junction with public footpaths No. 85 and 88 at grid reference 367691 401074 in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 160 metres to its junction with Queensway

at Point D, at grid reference 367847 401082 as shown on the Order Map.
? Leigh No. 88 from Point B as shown on the Order Map at its junction with public footpaths Leigh No. 85 and 86 at grid reference 367691 401074 in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 290 metres to its junction with Queensway at Point C, at grid reference 367736 400787 as shown on the Order Map.

Please note there is no alternative route available.
The Order is necessary to safeguard the public from the proposed development on the site.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1,2,3 and 4 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Leigh Roads) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.128) Order 2020. The effect of the Order will be to revoke no waiting at any time on:
? Buchanan Street, Leigh (South Side) from a point 5 metres east of its junction with Doming Street to a point 5 metres west of its junction with Doming Street.

? Buchanan Street, Leigh (South Side) from its junction with Eyet Street for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:
? Buchanan Street, Leigh (South Side) from its junction with Eyet Street to a point 27 metres west of its junction with Bengal Street.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1,2,3 and 4 and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Buchanan Street, Leigh) (Prohibition of Verge and Footway Parking) Order 2020.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce no parking on the verge and footway at any time on:
? Buchanan Street, Leigh (North Side) from its junction with Eyet Street to its junction with Bengal Street.

There will be limited exceptions permitting vehicles to wait to enable people to board or alight; for the purpose of building and similar operations, removing obstructions to traffic, road works and works by statutory undertakers; for local authority, Water Companies and Post Office purposes; if the vehicles are fire service or police vehicles or ambulances, (liveried vehicles) or in connection with a funeral; to take on fuel, water or air at any garage; for the delivery or collection of goods and for loading or unloading; or the avoidance of an accident. The Orders also provides that if any vehicle is left in any road or length of road affected by the Orders in contravention of any provision of the Orders a penalty charge (in the amount set by the Council) shall be payable and/or the vehicle may be removed.
A copy of the proposed Orders, the Orders to be amended, and of the relevant
map and of a statement of the reasons for proposing to make the Orders may

Any objection to the Order must be made in writing and specify the grounds
thereof and must be made to the Assistant Director Legal, Town Hall, Library
Street, Wigan quoting reference RD/LS/ RD/LS/DZB/C108.128 not later than
17th September 2020.
