NOTICE is hereby given that Trafford Borough Council at a meeting of Full Council at 7.00 PM on Wednesday, 23rd March 2022 to be held at Trafford Town Hall Talbot Road Stretford M32 OTH will take into consideration, determine the expediency of and authorise (if thought fit):

1. a proposal for the Council to oppose the High Speed Rail Phase 2b Western Leg (Crewe -Manchester) hybrid Bill ("the Bill") introduced into Parliament on 24th January 2022



2. Subject to the above, delegate authority to the Corporate Director of Place, in consultation with the Leader of the Council, Executive Member for Regeneration and Housing and the Corporate Director of Governance and Community Strategy, to take all such steps as may be necessary to produce a Petition, including steps required to submit a Petition and thereafter to maintain it, and if considered appropriate, withdraw the whole or parts of the Petition in respect of the HS2 Phase 2b Western Leg (Crewe-Manchester) hybrid Bill.
