Wigan Council  (Golborne No.30)

(Temporary Diversion) Order 2020 Notice of Extension

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has extended the above Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable use Golborne No.30 from Point A at its junction with Ashton Road as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 360749 398575 to Point B at its junction with Lightshaw Lane as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 361362 399555 for a distance of approximately 1,160 metres in a generally north easterly direction.

The alternative route for traffic is available from Point
A as shown on the Order Map in a north westerly
direction along the pavement of Ashton Road to
the junction with Wigan Road. Continue along the
pavement of Wigan Road in a northerly direction for
approximately 900 metres and then turn east along
Lightshaw Lane to Point B on the Order Map.

The Order is necessary to safeguard the public from
the proposed development of the site.
The public footpath will be closed for a period until
19th March 2023 or until the completion of the
works, whichever occurs sooner.
