ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 008 BLACKROD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO. ) ORDER 2017

The Borough Council of Bolton intends to make an Order not less than seven days from the date of this Notice.

The effect of which will be operative from 2nd February 2017 and will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath 008 Blackrod commencing from a point to the south west of Aspinall Way, Horwich; point A at grid reference SD 364107 409585 in a generally west-south westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 363540 409391 as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Bla008 over a total distance of approximately 616 metres.

An alternative route is available commencing from Public Footpath Blackrod 010; point A at grid reference SD 364107 409585, then Blackrod 009, Bolton 288, Bolton 290, Bolton 293, Bolton 295, Bolton 296; point B at grid reference SD 363540 409391 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan

The Order is necessary to facilitate core railway engineering works and will continue for 6 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. Dated: 24th January 2017

STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 083

BLACKROD) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2017

The above Order, made on 17th January2017under Section 119Aofthe Highways Act 1980 (as amended by the Transport and Works Act 1992) and under section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting part of Public Footpath 083 as follows: Public Footpath No. 083 Blackrod situated to the north east of Blackrod By-Pass, Blackrod, Bolton, BL6 5DS known as Anderton Hall Level Crossing commencing from point A at grid reference SD361990 411147 in a generally north easterly direction to point B at grid reference SD362003 411158 as shown by the continuous bold line between points A-B on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 18 metres and at a varying width of between 4 metres and 1.6 metres. The new line will commence from point A at grid reference SD361990 411147 running in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 15 metres to point C at grid reference SD361999 411135 to cross a footbridge over the railway, initially by 2 flights of 17 steps in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of approximately 15 metres to point D at grid reference SD362008 411123 where the path turns continuing in a generally north east by easterly direction for a distance of approximately 17 metres utilising 2 flights of 5 steps to point E at grid reference SD362022 411132 where the path turns continuing in a generally north west by northerly direction for a distance of approximately 15 metres utilising 2 flights of 17 steps to point F at grid reference SD362013 411144 then running in a generally north west by northerly direction for a distance of approximately 17 metres to point B at grid reference SD362003 411158 as shown by the bold black dashes between points A-C-D-E-F-B on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 79 metres. The width between points A-C-D-E-F-B will be 2 metres throughout over a stone surface between points A-C & F-B.

A copy of the Order and Plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the One Stop Shop, Town Hall, Bolton during office hours. Copies of the Order and Plan may be purchased.

Objections or representations should state the grounds on which they are made and either sent to nicola.raby@bolton.gov.uk or in writing to Nicola Raby at the address below not later than the 8th March 2017.

If no objections or representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any objections or representations which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order. Dated 24th January 2017
