The Council propose to revoke The Greater Manchester County (Cox Green Road, Egerton) (Restricted Road) (County) Order, 1975 and implement a new Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; its effect will be to impose a speed limit of 20 mph on residential roads within the Egerton Area. These comprise residential roads to the east of the A666 Blackburn Road (north of Darwen Road) up to and including Cox Green Road. This also includes Shorefield Mount, Delph Avenue and Dimple Road to the west of Blackburn Road as specified in the draft Order.
