THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN NAMES STREET WEST, DARWEN) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2017
NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to allow works to replace a manhole frame and cover
The effect of the Order is to close James Street West, Darwen, to all vehiculartraffic at its junction with Tockholes Road.
The diversion route for traffic exiting Tockholes Road will be via Tockholes Road, Everton Street, Wood Street, Bury Street, Green Street, Borough Road High Street and James Street West. The diversion route for traffic entering Tockholes Road will be via James Street West, Police Street, Bury Street, Wood Street, Everton Street, and Tockholes Road.

The Order will come into force on Saturday, 28th October 2017, and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed on the same day.
