ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (VARIOUS SIDE ROADS OFF HEYWOOD ROAD AND SIMISTER LANE, PRESTWICH) TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2018 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Access road side of No.205 Heywood Road, Perrymead (outside No.2) Parrenthorn Road (side of No.325 & No. 351 Heywood Road) - at their junctions with Heywood Road, Prestwich.

Droughts Lane - at its junction with Sinister Lane, Prestwich

The reason for the proposed order is to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be

carried out.

Suitable diversion routes will be signed on site where applicable.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Monday 23 July 2018 and shall

remain in force for a period of up to 12 months, although the anticipated duration of

the works is approximately 7 weeks. The closures will only be implemented as and

when required.
