ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14(1) THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (BRIDGE STREET/CARR STREET, RAMSBOTTOM) TEMPORARY CLOSURE, ONE WAY WORKING AND REVOCATION OF ONE WAY WORKING ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be as follows:-l)Temporary Closure - Bridge Street, Ramsbottom between Crow Lane and Bolton Street
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be as follows:-l)Temporary Closure - Bridge Street, Ramsbottom between Crow Lane and Bolton Street
2)Temporary Closure - Carr Street, Ramsbottom between Bridge Street and Central Street
3)Temporary Revocation of One Way Working - Square Street, Ramsbottom and
Silver Street, Ramsbottom 4)Temporary One Way Working - Union Street, Ramsbottom - between Railway
Street and Palatine Street 5)Temporary reversal of One Way Working from a southerly direction to a northerly
direction - Palatine Street, Ramsbottom - between Union Street and Bridge Street The reason for the proposed order is to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
The alternative route will be as follows:-
l)For vehicles under 14"374.3m - via Ramsbottom Lane, Stubbins Lane, Bolton Road North, Wood Lane, Whalley Road and Peel Brow and vice versa. For vehicles over 14"374.3m - via Bolton Road West, Longsight Road, Brandlesholme Road, Crostons Road, Bolton Road, Peel Way, Walmersley Road, Manchester Road and Peel Brow and vice versa.
2)Via Bolton Street, Dundee Lane and Tanners Street and vice versa

4&5) Via Bridge Street, Railway Street and Union Street.

The alternative route will be via paths (non-definitive) in Sunny Bank Wood
The Order comes into operation on 14 February 2019 and shall remain in force for a
period of up to 6 months.

The Order comes into operation on Saturday 16 February 2019 and shall remain in
force for a period of up to 3 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is
approximately 10 days.
