The Bolton News: food fest

THE search is on for Bolton's best eatery - and we want you to be the judges.

As part of Bolton Food & Drink Festival 2019, we are looking to crown Bolton's Favourite Restaurant.

People will have the opportunity to nominate their favourite places to eat in the borough and the establishment with the most votes will win.

Bolton Council Leader, Cllr David Greenhalgh said: “Bolton Food & Drink Festival just gets bigger and better each year, generating huge crowds from across the UK and from abroad which helps raise the profile of the town.

“The Restaurant Award is a welcome addition to the festival and helps improve business standards in the catering sector and creates exciting new opportunities for local businesses to play a bigger part of the festival and share its success.”

The award is open to any place serving food in the borough, including café’s and licensed premises.

Only those with a hygiene rating of three or above on www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk are eligible to win.

The closing date for receiving votes is Wednesday, August 14 and the winner will be announced at the Gala Dinner at the festival on Friday 23 August and on The Bolton News website.

Those voting for their favourite place to eat in Bolton will have the chance to win tickets to James Martin's Cookery Demo on Monday, August 26.

The Bolton Food & Drink Festival will run from August 23 to 26 and will feature celebrity chefs The Hairy Bikers, Gregg Wallace and James Martin.
