THE Rotary Club of Walkden would like to thank the local community for its generosity over the Christmas period.
Local school choirs brought the traditional Christmas to Walkden's Ellesmere Centre and carol singing was of the usual high standard, bringing a few tears to the eyes of the crowd.
This enabled the Rotary Club to raise £2,974.92, which will be used for local charities, and if necessary our overseas project in Kenya.
The carol singing festival was again supported by the Mayor and Mayoress of Salford.
Thank you to everyone involved.
