I WONDER if your readers feel, as I, that the TV programmes offered to us during the festive season were appalling, absolutely abysmal offerings, as per usual.
I could understand commercially sponsored channels giving money away in some of their programmes, but when the BBC follows suit and gives money away in some of their programmes, it fills me with trepidation.
Then I hear that the BBC wishes to increase TV licence fees by no less than £4. When I heard this it shook me.
At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.
