WITH reference to the removal of the barrier in Seymour Road, can the Highways Management Section please tell me why only the immediate surrounding houses were notified, when it affects everyone on Seymour Road?
If the barrier is being removed, why not put speed bumps along the road in order to keep the speed down, or some other type of speed deterrent?
If other estates around Bolton can have them, why can't a street with a primary school? This would help to keep the children safe, as well as those who live and play on the road.
Without some sort of speed deterrent, the road will become a rat run again.
Since the road was closed, it has become a safer and quieter place to live.
Miss Leeza Thatcher, Seymour Road, Astley Bridge
