FOR the past 20 years there has been an Osteoporosis Group in Bolton.
The committee members worked hard to make information available to anyone who requested it.
In the beginning we had more than 40 members. Over the years, the numbers have fluctuated.
Lately, because of advancing years and some infirmities, our membership count has reduced and it is no longer practical to continue with the group.
I have enjoyed the years as group secretary and am very grateful for the companionship and friendship of the other committee members and group members.
I hope in the future there will be a new group in Bolton and I believe that as people age, more of them, men and women, will be diagnosed with weak bones.
