MAY I say a grateful thanks to the many caring people who have supported me since the loss of my beloved Barney (The Bolton News, December 15).
Please can I add, don't let this present trend of wishing to own a "fighting dog" deter or deprive young people of the love and, yes, the responsibility, of a friend with four legs and a wet nose.
