I WORKED for Bolton Council for over nine years as a dinner lady and I have been told that I cannot get the equal pay as I didn't apply within six months.
How can I and many others apply within the stated time, when the first time we hear of it is in The Bolton News?
The council have stated they didn't have to inform people. In that case, why have the current employees received letters informing them of the changes and the amounts they will receive?
Why are people who have only just joined the council workforce getting lump sums of money for working a month or so?
I think it's very unfair that past council employees cannot get when they've worked for, and what should be rightfully theirs.
We should not lose out.
