Simple – do not eat meat
RITA Biscoff is perfectly correct (Letters, Cruelty of halal/kosher, May 13).
All slaughter is inhumane. Until we have CCTV cameras in all slaughter houses, animals will continue to be abused before they are slaughtered.
Organic or not, halal or not, slaughter is painful.
The only answer for people who care is not to eat any animal. Simple. We can live perfectly healthy without eating them.
