DEANE United Reformed Church celebrated its £12,000 refurbishment with a special service.
The 120-year-old church, in Wigan Road, has had its windows revamped, its glass panels repaired and triple-glazed units installed.
It invited members of the public to admire its new look at a rededication service.
The work, which was carried out by NKA Stained Glass of Leigh, was made possible by a grant of nearly £10,000 from Viridor Credits, a not-for-profit organisation that provides funding for community, heritage and biodiversity projects around the UK.
Derek Jones, treasurer of the church, said: “We are delighted with the church’s new look. It’s a lot warmer and it looks a lot better inside than before.
“We are thankful to everyone who helped.”
