A NUMBER of months ago, Kennedy's resurfaced Bolton Road, Farnworth, from the old grammar school junction with Gladstone Road to Moses Gate railway station area. I thought it was a very professional job and a really good finish.
Recently, travelling along the same stretch of road, I was devastated when I saw a Utility Company hacking the whole distance of the new surfacing away - causing even more damage to the carriageway and delays to the ever-patient motorists.
The co-ordination between The Highways Agency and the utility companies must really be a joke - but the people travelling this route don't think so. Not to mention the job paid for twice with time and consumers' money.
I strongly advise the Highways Agency to look at the reinstating work very closely afterwards, as I have, quiet honestly, never seen a good job done yet.
Mr Bill Collison Bolton Road Kearsley
