DEVASTATING news — sales of brown sauce are plummeting.
This may not qualify as earth-shattering for many people, but for me and legions of HP sauce-lovers it’s very worrying.
Figures show that sales of this national favourite for more than 100 years have dropped by 19 per cent. Changes in taste and greater awareness of food health are being blamed, in spite of there being a range of Reduced Salt and Sugar sauces.
For me, it goes with anything savoury and I fear this future is threatened. We obviously urgently need a campaign to Save our Sauce. Please support it vigorously.
