ONCE again we are reminded about the problems that the last Labour government , without any thoughts of the future immigration policy, is starting to cause the country.

This time the spotlight is on some of our schools across the country and the difficulties and pressures they are having to deal with because of the growing number of migrants' children turning up for lessons with little grasp of English.

While I would never suggest that it's any fault of the children. According to Department of Education data, there are 1.1million schoolchildren who do not have English as a first language with 311 different languages recorded and no matter how some education chiefs try to dress it up, the speed of some of our own children's education will be slowed down. As the Campaign for Real Education warn: "Sadly non-immigrant children, especially white working class children, are tending to get overlooked in the scramble to support non-English speakers."
