I’VE read reports and heard politicians spout about how bad the NHS is being run, both the Conservatives and Labour do this to scare the population into vote for them.
Locally I’ve had cause to visit the Bolton Royal Hospital on seven occasions since December 2014 visiting a friend. Not once did I hear any complaints from nurses and there was plenty of nursing staff to cope.
A visit to the A & E two weeks ago my wife was checked in, diagnosed and a remedy given all within two hours. The A& E at the time was busy. Booking a doctor’s appointments is not a problem. Four times I’ve phoned my surgery since January 2015 and given an appointment for the same day.
Many people who have experienced only good from the NHS service like me are scratching their heads. The NHS is a political football, with many people this resonates to fever pitch, I’m sure like me many people are sickened by the politicians hyping on about its short comings. They do not think about the nurses, doctors and ancillary staff who are on the front line. What the politicians are really saying, that the nurses, doctors and ancillary staff cannot do their jobs properly.
