I HAVE just come home after taking my dog for one of its twice-daily walks.
Now, I consider myself to be a responsible dog owner and, as unpleasant as it may be, I always clean up after my dog and either take it home or wait until I find a designated bin in which to put it.
Why do some dog owners seem to think it is okay to pick up the mess in the appropriate bag, tie a knot in it and leave it hanging from a tree, bush, gatepost, railing or just simply toss it into the street.
Come on, people, I realise that when we are out walking the dog there often aren't enough bins about, but can we please show a bit of respect to walkers who don't own a dog and should not have to view your dogs bagged mess where there should be leaves or flowers.
You're giving the ones who try and do it right quite a bad name. If you collect it, please bin it as soon as you responsibly can.
