IT is with utter shock and horror that I see that the Royal Bolton Hospital, with state-of-the-art facilities such as the ophthalmology department has been overlooked s a 'super hospital' which has gone to Stepping Hill, Stockport.
This hospital has been in the news recently when a member of staff was found guilty of murders.
If this is so-called devolved government at work, it is rubbish. Wales, Scotland and northern Ireland have their own assemblies and parliaments, so why can't England, the largest member of the UK, instead of the hotch-potch arrangements involving different regions, such as the so-called 'Northern Powerhouse"?
This nonsense is redolent of Labour, so am I right in believing that the Tories have lost the plot and they are now socialists in all but name?
For many years I considered the question of the Thatcher legacy. My conclusion now is that the legacy is UKIP.
