SoO Yasmin Qureshi MP for Bolton South East decided to abstain from the vote on welfare cuts because 'of a government commitment on apprenticeships within the legislation" ('MPS defend decision to abstain from welfare vote amid criticism' Bolton News, Wednesday, July 22).
So what Ms Qureshi is saying is that she is happy to allow millions of families across the UK to live in poverty - because it may allow a few thousand 16-21 year olds get a below living wage job, all of which will struggle to pay housing costs due to all support they could have received will be taken from them?
