ARE we, the older generation, being held to ransom? Surely having to wear spectacles or a hearing aid is more to do with ill health than luxury.
Again I have had to pay £200 for a bit of glass with wire round it - similar things are now in the "pound shops" for a pound.
On reaching the ripe old age of 62, I find now I am going deaf, so I searched the internet for the cheapest hearing aid. I have found a discounted site, with hearing aids at £1,700. I could buy three plasma televisions for that, or even a reasonable car.
These prices are unfair, especially for poor people and pensioners, which I will be soon. It is time to speak up and stop this rip-off.
