WITH Bolton's overwhelmingly positive vote to 'Leave' the EU, in last week's Referendum — we must ask the question as to where that leaves most of the town's Labour elected politicians?
Only one, Westhoughton South's cllr Anna-Marie Watters came out of the Referendum campaign with credit.
She alone reflected what her constituents actually asked for — like most of the North-West resoundingly voting 'LEAVE'.
I'd like to give credit where it is due and praise her strongly held convictions that councillors should consult with their constituents before voting or campaigning on important issues and not just follow 'the Party line' ignoring any personal consequences.
I would add that she is my ward councillor in Westhoughton South!
Derek Bullock,
Conservative 'LEAVE' campaigner
