I REFER to the recent article regarding trapped pigeons and the subsequent readers' letters asking what action the RSPCA is taking.
I am not even sure whether the RSPCA Inspector is aware of this problem, unless anyone has reported it. There is no guarantee that an inspector who was not born and bred in the town will necessarily read the local press.
As a regular reader, I have read the report and now passed it on to our control centre (which prioritises and delegates complaints to the inspector) but it is important to remind readers that if they witness an animal in distress, we will not know about it unless it is reported to our 24-hour emergency telephone line on 08705 555 999.
