I DISAGREE with the proposed one-way traffic system in the town centre. The question posed by the paper when the original story was featured was: "Will these plans attract more people into Bolton?"
I would say the answer has to be no.
Bolton, as I have said in previous correspondence, has a lot to offer, but visitors have been denied parking facilities and, on that score, will not return.
Why not introduce a simple situation whereas local people and visitors can come to the town and not be driving around like idiots to find somewhere to park?
The one-way system will only confuse visitors, and will not encourage them to enjoy the amenities.
Let us make the most of what we have.
Bolton is a great town and we should make sure that people can find their way around and not end up in a dead-end street.
