WHEN it comes to a country’s leader making a pronouncement on an important national principle I don’t think what topping your pizza should be comes close.
Yet, Iceland’s president would like to ban pineapple on pizza. When asked during a school visit what he thought about the sweet yellow fruit on pizzas, he launched into a tirade stating he would ban it if he had the power.
This was a silly area to pronounce on – a bit like Theresa May saying she’ll ban Marmite. There are so many more important matters in the world. Anyway, pineapple is great on pizza!
