THIS is a quote from a Keep Our NHS Public press release, with which I entirely agree. “The new government will face many conflicting priorities, but the NHS must remain at the top of this list and not be swept aside by Brexit or security considerations. After years of systematic neglect and under-funding, the NHS is nearing collapse and needs swift and decisive action to restore it to the great public service it was and can be.”
We all benefit from the NHS and if we don’t campaign hard to save it, we could lose it altogether in the near future. This is particularly clear in Bolton, with the plans to cut 50 beds at our hospital.
So readers, please do whatever you can to stop the local bed closures and to save our NHS nationally.
