On SATURDAY, January 27, the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton have invited my Smithills community musicians, choir, Eagley Band and myself to perform a gala concert in their presence in the town hall at 7.30pm with all proceeds going to Bolton charities.

Our local charities continue to carry out much needed and essential work across our town and are crucially important at a time when keeping them and a great many other local organisations in existence continues to get ever harder.

The Albert Hall only seats 600 people and in order to maximise the money we can raise for charity at our fun concert, we need to be filling every seat that we possibly can.

In addition to the amazing music being performed, ranging from Torvill and Dean’s Bolero to their Dancing On Ice polar bears, we have audience games planned and all sorts during the evening, so the night will as interactive and fun as ever.

May I please urge anyone who has not been to one of our concerts before to come along to this one and for as many of our usual, kind and generous supporters to come out of their homes once more and enjoy another great night with us.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton have been superbly supportive throughout this year and the least we can all do is raise as much money for their local charities as we possibly can.
