THIS Saturday evening at the Victoria Hall, Bolton Symphony Orchestra will kick start its 2018 programme of concerts.

The New Year’s January concert is always one to look forward to and I’ll be there supporting it.

The orchestra will be playing a great selection of music including the theme from the film 2001 A Space Odyssey, Star Trek into Darkness, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Hansel and Gretel and a selection of tunes from well known cartoons.

It will be an outstanding performance by an orchestra which is a credit to the Bolton borough.

I would encourage residents to come along and support the orchestra.

Tickets are only £12 for adults and if you are under 19, it is free.

You will also in turn be supporting the Victoria Hall, a unique and historic Bolton building.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets can be obtained on the night from the Victoria Hall box office or in advance from Booths Music in Churchgate or via the Bolton Symphony Orchestra website.

See you there!
