WHO on earth do the owners of Primark think they are?
Their attitude in wanting to close the Bradshawgate entrance to Crompton Place, "Store giant's quit threat?" (April 19), has already lost them regular customers in my house.
The planning committee should reject the closure of the entrance. It's very well used - I use it frequently myself - and, no, having to walk through Primark itself to get to Bradshawgate is not a satisfactory substitute.
If the closure went ahead, what kind of precedent would it set?
If any other big store wanted to close off public thoroughfares, would the planning department have to go along with that too?
