IN response to all the pigeon haters. They are not vermin, but part of our natural wildlife. The human race spreads far more diseases. A lot of animal diseases are spread through poor animal welfare.
During the war, pigeons carried important messages around the world far quicker than some of today's services. They were also eaten, and far better than today's junk food.
The real pests are those who keep smashing all the telephone boxes and bus shelters.
