IN the early 70s, the people running this town showed they couldn't get their priorities right by having disgraceful ambulances while lavishing money on back street, one-way systems. And guess what? Thirty years later, they still can't!

This explains why we receive nasty letters threatening large fines for leaving wheelie bins out. These letters also suggested neighbours might inform on one another.

The so-called "officers", who apparently are going on rubbish patrol, would be far better utilised watching out for burglars, instead of bins, or on main road where drivers blatantly park in a manner which endangers life.

In addition, manpower is concentrated on car parks where the money is not the danger.

Further, at a time when there is more traffic than ever before, main roads are being narrowed by ludicrous cycle lanes you never see a cyclist in.

And they tell us Bolton's the place to be.
