ON December 6 I fell on the ice on the pavement of Tonge Moor Road, and cut my head badly.
Within moments a doctor and an off duty policeman arrived to help. Staff from the Beech Hut tanning shop and the Fire Place Studio crossed the road bringing blankets and pillows.
A passing joiner came to help, as did a young woman from an unknown nearby shop. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all of the many people who came to my aid.
